I had expierenced some problems with the "offline mode" some months ago but they mysterically disappeard. After claws had crashed today while syncing for "offline mode" I traced the problem: A rather large mail (15MB) caused claws to crash. After removing this mail claws worked fine again.
Can't reproduce that...
The bug can be reproduced, see: http://www.internettablettalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10209
Can reproduce too, very annoying to find its root cause.
it's arch-dependant. probably a signed/unsigned overflow.
Changes related to this bug have been committed. Please check latest CVS and update the bug accordingly. You can also get the patch from: http://www.colino.net/claws-mail/ 2008-02-28 [colin] 3.3.1cvs5 * src/compose.c Fix bug 1534, 'Segmentation fault when doing some draft saving and then throwing away' * src/imap.c Fix bug 1533, 'Claws is unable to mark messages as "read" in IMAP shared folders' * src/etpan/imap-thread.c Fix bug 1515, 'large messages crash claws when syncing for offline mode'. This is rather a workaround, and mails > 64MB will still be problematic if there's less than 64MB available on the dataroot volume. * src/messageview.c MAEMO: Add information when fetching big messages
